Now the question is how it must be done. The points to consider and precautions to be taken while doing this. Here it is important to mention that in future, the LPG gas is expected to be supplied through pipelines only, specially in India. The Govt of India has already started the process creating the infrastructure to ensure smooth LPG gas supply to homes through pipe line. This already being done in Surat successfully since long.

  3. Always use a very high quality composite pipe which does not rust of decay due to what ever reason.
  4. Ensure that there is minimum joints to avoid any leakage. I will recommend that the flexible composite pipe without any joints in turns and bends be used.
  5. There should be only two joints, that to exposed and easily accessible. The first one the inlet, where we will keep our cylinders and connect them to the pipe line. The second one the outlet, the point from which we will connect the gas supply to our burner. Both the points must be of highest quality with safety on/off valves.
  6. You must have two on/off valves. One at the point from where the gas is being supplied to your kitchen. Other one, inside the kitchen from where you are connecting the pipe to your burner.

Kindly hire a reliable and reputed vendor to do the entire work. This work is best done during construction stage. Doing this in old homes where you are already living is a tricky case but not impossible. Only thing that you should consider is a good vendor to do the work and high quality material is used. You know you will be transporting an inflammable gas.
